At energies above 20-30 cm^-1, collision cross sections with ortho-H₂ are very similar to those with para-H₂, with an average deviation of less than 20% (M’hamdi et al. 2026). Therefore for temperatures above ~ 20 K, the collisional rate coefficients given here can be used regardless of the ortho-to-para ratio of H₂.
